What Revenue Boost Does
Revenue Boost (Dashboard → Revenue Boost) is Wehanda's AI marketing center. It monitors your customers and automatically identifies the right moment to reach out — then sends a personalized email on your behalf.
All emails are:
- Written by AI based on your restaurant's name and the customer's history
- Sent only to customers who have opted in to marketing
- Throttled so the same customer never receives more than one marketing email per week (regardless of how many campaigns they qualify for)
The result is relevant, timely communication without you having to write a single email.
Revenue Boost is available on the Growth plan for all 8 campaign types. The Starter plan includes 5 automated campaigns (Birthday, After-Order, Milestone, Quiet Day, New Item Launch).
The 8 Campaign Types
🎂 Birthday Email
Sent the day before a customer's birthday. Requires the customer to have a birthday date in their profile.
Where to enable: Setup → AI Marketing → Birthday emails
🍽️ After-Order Follow-Up
Sent 3 days after a customer completes an order. Thanks them for visiting and encourages another order.
Where to enable: Setup → AI Marketing → After-order follow-up
🎉 Milestone Rewards
Sent when a customer reaches their 5th, 10th, or 25th order. Celebrates their loyalty and encourages continued visits.
Where to enable: Setup → AI Marketing → Milestone rewards
☕ Slow Day Boost
Sent to regular customers on days when your revenue is below your daily target. Invites them to visit or order. Requires a daily revenue target set in Setup → Pricing.
Where to enable: Setup → AI Marketing → Slow day boost
✨ New Item Launch
When you add a new menu item, this campaign notifies customers who frequently order from that category. For example, adding a new ramen dish notifies customers who regularly order noodle items.
Where to enable: Setup → AI Marketing → New item launch
💙 Win-Back (Growth plan)
Targets customers who haven't visited in a long time and have a high churn risk score. Sends a personalized re-engagement email. Available to send on-demand from Revenue Boost → Customers drifting away.
🛒 Cart Recovery (Growth plan)
When a logged-in customer adds items to cart but doesn't complete the order, this email reminds them what they left behind. Available on-demand from Revenue Boost → Left without ordering.
⭐ Loyalty Nudge (Growth plan)
Sent to customers who are close to having enough points for a reward, encouraging them to place one more order. Available on-demand from Revenue Boost → Close to a free reward.
Enabling Automatic Campaigns
Go to Dashboard → Setup → AI Marketing section (sidebar on the right).
You will see toggles for each campaign type. Toggle them on to enable automatic sending — Wehanda's cron jobs run nightly and send emails automatically to qualifying customers.
Toggle any campaign off to pause it without losing your settings. You can turn automations back on at any time.
Sending On-Demand from Revenue Boost
The Revenue Boost page shows you current opportunities to reach customers — without waiting for the nightly automation.
Left without ordering (Cart Recovery) — customers who built a cart but didn't check out. Click "Send email now" to immediately send them a recovery email.
Customers drifting away (Win-Back) — customers with high churn risk based on how long it's been since their last visit and AI scoring. Each customer shows their risk score and AI-assigned segment label (At Risk, Hibernating, Lost, etc.).
Close to a free reward (Loyalty Nudge) — customers within striking distance of a loyalty reward. "READY" badges indicate customers who already have enough points to redeem.
If you recently sent an email to a customer, you will see "Sent recently" instead of the send button. This prevents over-messaging.
Customer Requirements for Emails
An email will only be sent to a customer if:
- They have a valid email address saved in their profile
- They have opted in to marketing communications
If you see "No email saved for this customer" in Revenue Boost, that customer's profile is missing an email. Update it in Dashboard → Customers.
Marketing opt-in is collected when customers place their first order or create an account on your ordering page. You cannot send marketing emails to customers who have not opted in — this keeps your sending reputation healthy and respects customer preferences.
Reading Campaign Results
Go to Dashboard → Revenue Boost → What's working to see performance for the past 7, 30, or 90 days.
The summary shows:
- Emails sent — total emails delivered in the selected period
- Orders driven — orders placed by customers who clicked through from an email
- Revenue earned — total revenue from email-attributed orders
The per-campaign breakdown shows how each campaign type performed individually. Revenue is attributed to a campaign when a customer clicks the email link and places an order within 7 days.
This data helps you understand your ROI and decide which campaigns to prioritize.
