Embed Ordering on Your Own Website
Already have a website? Add the Wehanda widget — an "Order Online" button, your full menu, or a reservation form — and take orders natively on your own site.

What the Embed Widget Does
If you already have a website you love — Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, or hand-built — you don't have to send customers away to order. The Wehanda embed widget puts your full ordering experience inside your own site, on your own domain.
Everything works exactly like your Wehanda ordering page: the live menu, deals and promo codes, loyalty sign-in, card payments, order-ahead scheduling, and reservations. Your menu stays in sync automatically — edit it once in your dashboard and it updates everywhere.
Getting Your Embed Code
Go to Dashboard → Website and scroll to "Embed ordering on your own website."
Choose a style:
Order button (recommended) — you place a button anywhere on your site (e.g., "Order Online" in your header). When clicked, the full ordering experience opens in an elegant overlay on top of your page. Best for adding ordering to an existing homepage.
Ordering in a page — embeds the entire ordering experience directly inside a page (e.g., your site's /order page). The widget automatically grows to fit your menu, adds a floating "View Order" cart button on mobile, and expands to full screen during checkout.
Menu display — embeds your designed, view-only menu page (in whichever of the 8 menu styles you picked in Dashboard → Website). Perfect for your site's /menu page: visitors browse a beautiful menu with tap-to-jump category shortcuts, and the built-in Order Online button opens ordering right there in the same widget.
Copy the two-line code snippet and paste it into your website's HTML where you want the widget to appear. On site builders like Squarespace or Wix, use their "Embed code" / "Custom HTML" block.
Add Your Site to Allowed Sites
In the same embed section, add your website's address (e.g., https://yourrestaurant.com) to the Allowed sites list.
This matters for customer sign-in: when a customer creates an account or resets their password from the widget on YOUR site, the link in their email brings them back to your site — not to wehanda.com. Wehanda only ever sends customers to addresses on this list (a security measure that protects your customers' accounts).
If you skip this step, ordering still works — but account emails will return customers to your wehanda.com page instead of your own site.
Good to Know
The cart follows customers across your site. If someone adds items on your ordering page and then visits another page with a Wehanda widget (like your embedded menu), a floating "View Order" bar keeps their cart one tap away — tapping it opens the full ordering overlay with their items intact.
Payments are fully supported. Stripe and Square card payments run inside the widget — customers never leave your site to pay.
Order tracking opens in a new tab. After checkout, the "Track your order" link opens the live tracking page in its own tab, so it survives after the customer closes the ordering overlay.
Match your brand. The widget uses your accent color from Dashboard → Website automatically. You can override it per-page with the data-accent attribute in the snippet.
It stays up to date. The widget loads fresh from Wehanda on every visit — menu changes, price updates, and new deals appear on your site immediately, with no code changes ever needed.
Custom domains work too. If you'd rather point your whole domain at your Wehanda site instead of embedding, see the Custom Domain section of the Website Builder article.
